JD ultimately manages a team more than 500 strong, responsible for more than 65,000 transports annually.

JD is as hands on as they get in this industry. Having grown up in emergency services [literally, he ran calls with his father when he was 15 years old and this was allowed], JD is now a leader within this industry nationally as a member of the American Ambulance Association Board of Directors for the past 12 years and also on the State EMS Committee for the past 13 years.

Erin Miller

Vice President Of Business Development

Erin’s 21 years of experience solely in EMS business development has facilitated Metro West’s approach to a new understanding of the ever-changing healthcare field. Erin directs the new and ongoing development of business contracts for Metro West Ambulance, Pacific West Ambulance, Medix Ambulance, and Bay Cities Ambulance.

Erin oversees our non-emergency services for care facilities and hospitals, including, Kaiser Permanente, Providence Healthcare Hospitals, Doernbecher’s Pediatric and Neonatal Doernbecher Ambulance, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs non-emergency ambulance and wheelchair transportation – Portland, Oregon – Vancouver, Washington and Roseburg, Oregon, special events medical services, non-emergency business medical services, and others.

Larry Boxman

EMT-P, Vice President Of Operations

Larry’s exceptional understanding of the unique integration of EMS plays a vital role in the new and innovating ways Metro West is able to assist each patient and the community. As the Vice President of Operations, Larry uses his experience and knowledge to enhance and create a distinctive work force that excels in the EMS world.
With extensive knowledge and nation-wide understanding of emergency medical care, Larry writes and publish articles for the Journal of Emergency Medical Services [JEMS], EMS Magazine/EMS World and Fire/EMS Magazine. Larry’s extensive hands-on approach and open door policy has helped Metro West incorporate Just Culture as a positive approach to management
